Volunteers are essential to mission delivery for Miry’s List. On June 7th, we will acknowledge the extraordinary efforts and share an unforgettable experience that connects us as a community and provides human connection, needed now more than ever during this difficult time of COVID-19 quarantine and social distancing.

The community support we provided in welcoming these new arrival families with the things, people and services they need to start their new lives in the US. Community intervention at the time of arrival for these families makes a transformative difference, and the ripple effect is felt for generations.

This event will be held virtually by Zoom and will pay tribute to the memory of Daniel C. Smith, a Miry’s List volunteer, who sadly suffered from a chronic illness and passed away on January 9, 2021 at just 32 years old. Daniel was deeply dedicated to the work of welcoming newcomers to our country. Daniel loved volunteering with Miry's List and he was grateful he was able to participate from home, even as his physical abilities declined due to his illness.
