Meet the Alawad family! Mom and Dad have 4 kids, ages 12, 10, 7, and 3, and are a Syrian family who recently arrived from Jordan. They resettled in El Cajon, California, and are enjoying the sunshine in their new home. Both Mom and Dad are taking English classes, and Dad is hoping to find a local construction job in his new community. They are also expecting a baby girl this June!

They recently arrived from Afghanistan and resettled in the East Bay. Dad previously worked for USAID and has a passion for helping others.
